Ready to lead a supportive, forward-thinking team with no OOH? This Head Vet role at Bridge Veterinary Group offers the clinical leadership opportunity you've been looking for, backed by excellent facilities and genuine colleague collaboration.
You'll join Bridge Veterinary Group as Head Veterinary Surgeon, primarily based at the Middlesbrough hospital with flexibility to support the Hartlepool practice. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week with no out-of-hours shifts; part-time rotas can be discussed if needed. You'll lead a skilled team of 8 veterinary surgeons, 10 registered veterinary nurses, 2 student nurses, 6 receptionists and 5 patient care assistants across both sites.
The role combines clinical excellence with mentorship. You'll manage a varied caseload ranging from routine consultations and surgeries to advanced emergency cases and hospitalised patients. The practice maintains high clinical standards with excellent facilities including digital X-ray, dental radiography, Doppler ultrasound, in-house laboratory and multiparameter monitoring. A dedicated night team at Middlesbrough ensures continuity of care, so you can focus on developing your own clinical interests without the pressure of night cover.
Team morale is genuinely strong here. You'll work alongside colleagues who support each other both professionally and personally, in a forward-thinking environment where continuous improvement and clinical excellence are genuinely valued.
