About the Role

This Registered Veterinary Nurse role is based at Highcroft Veterinary Hospital and offers a hospital rotation across Exotics, Surgery, Nurse Clinics and Wards. You'll be working in a busy, supportive environment with shifts scheduled between 7:30am and 8:30pm, giving you exposure to a wide range of cases.

The team is looking for a dedicated RVN who wants to develop further while contributing to patient care, recovery and client reassurance. CVS also highlights learning, hands-on training and guidance, giving you space to grow your skills and confidence.

Key Responsibilities

• Rotate through Exotics, Surgery, Nurse Clinics and Wards as part of the hospital team.
• Support patients throughout their care, including monitoring health and recovery.
• Work with colleagues to help deliver care in a busy first-opinion hospital environment.
• Communicate confidently with clients and colleagues.
• Contribute to a positive, welcoming and supportive team culture.

Requirements

• Registered Veterinary Nurse status.
• A dedicated approach to delivering care for patients and owners.
• Confident written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn, develop and grow through ongoing training.

About the Practice

Highcroft Veterinary Hospital is a well-equipped small animal hospital in Whitchurch, Bristol. It provides care for dogs, cats and exotic pets, with facilities including CT imaging, multiple surgical theatres, dedicated wards and separate cat and dog reception areas.

The hospital has a friendly and experienced team, advanced certificate holders, its own out-of-hours service, and additional support such as a pet ambulance and chauffeur service. It is described as a busy first-opinion hospital with a supportive culture and access to both the city centre and surrounding countryside.
