About the Role

PetMedics Worsley Hospital is recruiting a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join its dedicated hospital team in Manchester. This is a 40-hour week across 4 days, and if you are seeking a different rota, the advert invites you to get in touch.

The role sits within a multi-site veterinary group that includes a 24-hour hospital, a first-opinion practice, and a consulting branch, with specialist support available from the certificate-led referral team based in Worsley.

Key Responsibilities

• Support patients and their owners as part of the clinical team.
• Contribute to patient recovery, monitoring, and reassurance throughout care.
• Help maintain quality in day-to-day practice work and patient care.
• Take part in ongoing learning, development, and training opportunities.
• Help create a positive, friendly, welcoming, and supportive team culture.
• Communicate confidently in writing and face to face with colleagues and clients.
• Manage cases from start to finish where appropriate, with continuity of care.

Requirements

• Registered Veterinary Nurse status.
• A dedicated approach to exceptional patient and client care.
• Confident written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn, develop, and grow within the role.

About the Practice

PetMedics is a thriving, multi-site veterinary group made up of a state-of-the-art 24-hour hospital, a fully refurbished first-opinion practice, and a dedicated consulting branch. The team includes 37 veterinary surgeons, many of whom are Certificate Holders or working towards certification, alongside Certificate-holding RVNs, patient care assistants, and receptionists.

The practice offers digital x-ray, ultrasound, and an on-site laboratory, plus access to a 24-hour hospital and certificate-led referral support for more complex cases. PetMedics also holds Gold Cat Friendly Clinic status, with Silver awards for rabbit-friendly and dog-friendly care.
