About the Role

Camlas Petcare Vets is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon for its Welshpool practice. This is a permanent part-time role, working 11 hours on Mondays, with a shared 1 in 5 Saturday rota and no out of hours.

The position suits an experienced vet who enjoys a varied first opinion small animal caseload, taking the lead on medical cases and diagnostic investigations while working closely with a supportive clinical team. Accommodation is available if needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Work within a first opinion small animal practice in Welshpool.
• Provide clinical care on a permanent part-time Monday rota, with a shared 1 in 5 Saturday commitment.
• Take the lead on medical cases and carry out diagnostic investigations.

• Work with the practice's laparoscopic surgery, dental x-ray, digital x-ray, in-house lab and ultrasound facilities.

Requirements

• Experienced Veterinary Surgeon.
• Confident clinical skills with the ability to handle a varied caseload.
• Comfortable leading on medical cases and diagnostic workups.
• A team-focused approach with an interest in mentoring and supporting colleagues.
• Strong client care and communication skills.
