Veterinary Surgeon

About the Role

De Montfort Veterinary Hospital is looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join its team in Evesham. The role is based in a newly refurbished hospital and offers a varied small animal caseload, with the option to develop either a surgical or medical bias.

The position is ideally full time, with 40 hours over 4 days and 1:4 Saturdays from 08:30 to 13:00. There are no out of hours or on call duties, and part time hours will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high quality patient and client care across a varied small animal caseload.

• Develop and apply your medical or surgical interests within the hospital setting.
• Contribute to the clinical culture of the practice and support colleagues.

Requirements

• An experienced veterinary surgeon.
• A veterinary degree and RCVS registration, or eligibility to register.
• Experience in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues.
• A proactive approach to learning, with openness to feedback and development.
• Professionalism, reliability, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

About the Practice

De Montfort Veterinary Hospital is an RCVS-accredited practice in Evesham and part of inspiring vet care. The team includes 4 FTE vets, 8 FTE RVNs and 1 SVN, alongside a support team that helps maintain the standard of care.

The hospital is a Veterinary Nurse training centre and an ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic with Gold Award status. Facilities mentioned include digital X-ray, dental X-ray, advanced ultrasound and endoscopy, plus a full IDEXX in-house lab.
