1:6 weekends, plus four weeknights over six weeks
This part-time small animal veterinary surgeon role offers variety, support and room to grow within an independent Suffolk practice. You’ll be working 2 to 3 days per week, including a dedicated procedures day, with a mix of consulting and practical clinical work.
The rota includes on-call cover of 1:6 weekends plus four weeknights over six weeks. The role is supported by experienced colleagues and nursing support, with clear communication and overnight continuity of care built into the way the practice works.
The setting combines first-opinion care with established referral services, so there is plenty of opportunity to discuss cases, learn from colleagues and build confidence in a collaborative environment.
Debenham Veterinary Practice is an independent practice in Suffolk caring for small animals. It offers on-site emergency and critical care, alongside referral services in ophthalmology, small animal surgery, outpatient CT imaging, laparoscopic spays, radioactive iodine treatment and dermatology.
The practice also has CT, endoscopy, laparoscopy and a well-equipped in-house laboratory. The first-opinion service is led by Heather Collinson, and the wider clinical team includes five vets with interests and additional qualifications in imaging, emergency care, feline medicine, neurology and cardiology.
