Oakwood Vets is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join its friendly, supportive team in Harleston, South Norfolk. This is a varied role with a mix of consulting and routine surgery, and there is scope to develop your own clinical interests.
The practice is currently part-way through a refurbishment programme, with new consulting rooms, a second operating theatre, a new cattery and a dedicated compassion suite planned. You will be joining a collaborative team that values excellent patient and client care, welcomes new ideas and encourages ongoing practice improvement.
The rota is designed with work life balance in mind, with 4 days per week from 8am to 6pm, every 4th week bringing a Friday day off for a long weekend, plus 2 in 5 Saturday mornings from 8am to 12pm. There is no out of hours.
Oakwood Veterinary Group is an established small animal practice with a long history of caring for pets in the local community. It is an RCVS-accredited practice with a varied caseload and a strong focus on clinical development, teamwork and excellent standards of care.
The team includes 6 vets, 7 RVNs, 1 SVN and 2 Animal Nursing Assistants, along with a surgery certificate holder, a vet studying towards a feline medicine certificate, a recent graduate, and nursing colleagues with additional interests in behaviour, anaesthesia, rabbit medicine and rabbit anaesthesia.
