This is a full-time veterinary surgeon position based at DNA Vetcare's Sussex branch and hospital facility. You'll work a 4-day week (40 hours) with a relaxed 1:4 weekend rota, giving you a genuine work-life balance in a progressive small animal practice. Based near Horsham, the location offers excellent transport links: just 20 minutes from Gatwick Airport and a 10-minute walk to the train station, with central London reachable in one hour and the coast within 45 minutes.
You'll be part of a team with exceptional clinical credentials. The Lead Vet is an Orthopaedic Surgeon with interests in regenerative medicine, and colleagues hold certificates in dentistry, medicine, imaging, cytology, endoscopy, soft-tissue surgery, and dermatology. You'll work with top-tier equipment including CT, MRI, laparoscopic tower, digital and dental radiography, premium ultrasound, full laboratory facilities, and laser therapy. Your role will span general consulting, supported soft-tissue surgery, and emergency and critical care (daytime), with genuine mentorship and clinical development opportunities.
The RVN and support teams bring years of experience and are integral to the practice's success. This is a well-established, independent group founded in 2006 by veterinary surgeons Alan van Heerden and Dane Walker, with expansion plans underway.
