About the Role

Easter Ross Vets is looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their clinical team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a daytime-only role with no out-of-hours or on-call duties—you’ll work 40 hours across 4 or 5 days each week with no weekend shifts currently in place. The practice is well-equipped with modern diagnostic and treatment facilities, giving you the tools to deliver excellent care across routine check-ups, emergency presentations, and everything in between. Emergency cover is supported 24/7 through their partnership with Highland Vet Emergencies, so you’re never managing crises alone.

Based in Invergordon, Easter Ross Vets is a family-run practice with three branches across the Easter Ross area (Alness, Invergordon, and Tain). The team is friendly, dedicated, and genuinely committed to putting patient and client needs first. You’ll be working alongside experienced veterinary surgeons and a wider practice team who value collaboration, continuous improvement, and going the extra mile.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to first opinion small animal cases across the practice
  • Lead and support nurse clinics
  • Provide inpatient care with attention to patient welfare and recovery
  • Support theatre and anaesthesia procedures
  • Manage dispensary duties
  • Work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons to maintain and develop clinical standards
  • Build positive relationships with clients and contribute to excellent client experiences
  • Take responsibility for your own professional development and reflect on practice improvements

Requirements

  • Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS
  • Experience working in clinical practice, with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Good organisational skills and ability to manage workload effectively
  • Confident, motivated approach to work and a genuine team player
  • Proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous improvement
