Veterinary Surgeon

About the Role

This is a permanent full-time position at Fromus, a welcoming small animal practice in Saxmundham. You’ll work within a culture that empowers clinicians to make the best decisions, where continuous improvement is encouraged and best practice is actively shared. The practice combines modern facilities with specialist equipment to give you everything you need to deliver high-quality surgical and medical care.

You’ll be part of a passionate, collaborative team of vets, nurses, PCAs and receptionists who genuinely support one another. The practice also offers cardiology referral services, giving you exposure to interesting cases and opportunities to deepen your expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead on surgical and medical cases with clinical confidence and precision
• Carry out diagnostic investigations and clinical procedures to the highest standard
• Manage a varied caseload and take clinical autonomy in decision-making
• Mentor and support colleague vets, nurses and support staff
• Contribute to shaping clinical standards and practice protocols
• Build positive, reassuring relationships with clients to deliver excellent customer care
• Engage with continuing professional development to maintain and advance your skills

Requirements

• RCVS registration as a veterinary surgeon
• Strong clinical skills and confidence managing surgical and medical cases independently
• Commitment to delivering outstanding animal care and client service
• Team player mentality with natural mentoring abilities
• Enthusiasm for continuous professional development
• Ability to work collaboratively within a supportive clinical culture
