Structured rota: Monday–Sunday nights 18:00–08:30, Saturday 12:00–19:00, Sunday 08:00–19:00. All shifts rotated across the Stirling team. Flexibility available; part-time and weekend-only applications welcomed.

About the Role

You’ll be helping establish a brand new emergency and critical care clinic from day one, working in a purpose-built facility designed with modern ECC in mind. This is a permanent role with a structured rota that respects work-life balance: nights Monday to Sunday (18:00–08:30), plus Saturday afternoons (12:00–19:00) and Sunday days (08:00–19:00). Full-time, part-time, and weekend-only arrangements are all welcomed, with flexibility to suit your needs.

The new Stirling clinic features three operating theatres, multiple diagnostic suites with future CT capability, six consult rooms, and separate facilities for cats, dogs, and isolation cases—everything you need to deliver outstanding emergency care in a modern, well-equipped environment. You’ll work alongside a supportive, experienced team committed to building a high-performing clinic from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver emergency and critical care across a busy ECC caseload in a brand new, state-of-the-art facility
  • Work collaboratively with the Stirling team to establish clinical protocols and standards from day one
  • Utilise three operating theatres, advanced diagnostic suites, and modern treatment areas to provide exceptional patient care
  • Contribute to a supportive clinic culture built on teamwork and professional development
  • Follow the structured rota pattern designed to balance clinical demands with personal wellbeing

Requirements

  • Registered as a Veterinary Surgeon with the RCVS
  • Experience or strong interest in emergency and critical care
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care in a collaborative team environment
  • Flexibility regarding shift patterns and working arrangements
