About the Role

Join Glenbrae Veterinary Clinics as a Registered Veterinary Nurse and become a core member of a collaborative clinical team delivering high-quality care across a thriving, established 3-site small animal practice. You’ll work alongside 10 veterinary surgeons, 7 fellow RVNs, and a dedicated support team, with access to excellent facilities including laparoscopy, digital radiography, ultrasonography, endoscopy, laser therapy, acupuncture, and stem cell therapy.

This full-time permanent role offers genuine work-life balance: you’ll work 38 hours per week over 5 days (with the option to compress into 4 days), enjoy 1-in-4 weekend cover with no out-of-hours duties, and have genuine support from experienced colleagues in a values-led environment focused on continuous improvement and patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver clinical nursing care across a range of first-opinion small animal cases
  • Conduct nursing consultations and build positive client relationships
  • Assist veterinary surgeons in theatre work, including laparoscopic procedures
  • Perform laboratory diagnostics and support radiographic procedures
  • Maintain clinical stock and contribute to practice standards
  • Support the ongoing development of patient care protocols within the practice
  • Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality care

Requirements

  • RCVS registration as a Veterinary Nurse (essential)
  • Clinical practice experience with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Good organisational skills and ability to manage workload effectively
  • Proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous improvement

About the Practice

Glenbrae Veterinary Clinics was established in 1990 and has grown into a thriving 3-site practice with Tier 2 RCVS accreditation. Since joining IVC Evidensia in 2019, the practice has gained access to enhanced clinical development opportunities and resources while maintaining its local community focus. The 30-strong team includes 10 vets, 7 RVNs, 2 student veterinary nurses, 9 Clinical Care Assistants, and administrative support, alongside visiting expertise from a homeopathic consultant and ultrasonographer.
