Veterinary Receptionist

About the Role

Mandeville Veterinary Hospital is looking for a client-focused receptionist to join its front of house team in Northolt. This is a full-time, 40 hour week role, worked Monday to Friday with a rotation of early and late shifts, plus 1:5 Saturdays and 1 to 2 bank holidays per year.

You will be the first point of contact for clients, so the role suits someone who is confident in face-to-face conversations, comfortable handling phone and written communication, and able to bring empathy and professionalism to every interaction. The hospital also supports surrounding Goddard clinics with out-of-hours care and support, so you will be liaising with a wide pool of clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for clients at the hospital front desk.
• Provide friendly, professional face-to-face client care.
• Handle phone and written communication with the same level of professionalism.
• Organise the diary and help keep client communications clear and accurate.
• Complete cashing up accurately.
• Work early and late shifts as part of the rota.

Requirements

• Previous reception responsibilities in a veterinary or healthcare setting.
• Confidence, empathy and experience when dealing with clients in person.
• Ability to work early and late shifts.
• A flexible approach, in line with the demands of the role.
• Client care experience in a fast-paced environment.
