A varied GP caseload, a well equipped branch and no on-call make this Ewell Veterinary Surgeon role a strong fit for a vet who wants room to breathe. You'll also have the backing of a 24-hour hospital and an experienced wider team.
No on-call and no twilight shifts. Sunday cover is at Stone Lion Veterinary Hospital, which has its own rotating night team.
This full-time Veterinary Surgeon position is based at the Ewell practice, where you'll be working in a busy GP setting with a growing caseload and a large, loyal client base. The role averages 40 hours per week and includes a weekend rota, but there is no on-call and no twilight shifts.
You’ll be joining a beautifully designed clinic with an open-span prep area, walk-in kennels, a large reception space and a staff area described as genuinely impressive. The branch is equipped with digital X-ray, dental X-ray and ultrasound, so you can work up a broad range of cases in-house, while Stone Lion Veterinary Hospital in Wimbledon is there for more complex referrals and out-of-hours support.
You’ll work alongside an experienced senior vet and receive support from the Regional Manager and Regional Head Vet. The role covers day-to-day GP work, including consultations, medical work-ups and routine surgery.
Ewell is described as a historic suburban village in Surrey, around 12 miles from Central London, with Nonsuch Park nearby and several local train stations for straightforward commuting. The practice sits within Goddard Veterinary Group, which celebrated its 70th anniversary in 2022 and now has 46 branches, three hospitals and its own nurse training college.
The wider group is part of the VetPartners family. It also has a 24-hour hospital network, including Stone Lion Veterinary Hospital in Wimbledon, which supports more complex cases and out-of-hours cover.
