About the Role

Hall Place Veterinary Centre is recruiting for both full-time and part-time Registered Veterinary Nurses to join their clinical team at the main Pinkneys Green practice, with flexibility to cover their branch locations in Marlow and Bourne End. You’ll work in a purpose-built barn nestled in the Berkshire countryside, offering a calm and modern environment where you can deliver high-quality patient care without the stress of overnight shifts.

This is a first-opinion small animal practice with genuine work-life balance: full-time roles run 40 hours per week across 4–5 days, part-time positions offer 16 hours over two 8-hour shifts, and the weekend rota is Saturdays only—no Sundays or out-of-hours work. You’ll be part of a friendly, supportive team who pride themselves on excellent clinical care and looking after one another.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care across a varied caseload of first-opinion small animal patients
  • Theatre and anaesthesia support, including assistance with laparoscopic speys and orthopaedic surgery
  • Perform radiography and lead dental nursing procedures
  • Manage in-patient care and patient monitoring within dedicated kennel and cattery facilities
  • Run nurse-led clinics and client consultations
  • Collaborate with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team to maintain clinical standards
  • Contribute to ongoing development and improvement of patient care protocols

Requirements

  • Current RCVS registration as a Veterinary Nurse
  • Practical experience working in clinical practice with developing confidence in medical and surgical nursing
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Good organisational skills and effective workload management
  • Proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous professional improvement
