About the Role

Harbour Veterinary Group is seeking an experienced Lead Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their small animal practice in Waterlooville, Hampshire. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week with flexible working options available, offering you the chance to take your career to the next level.

You’ll take a leadership role supporting a team of dedicated RVNs, student veterinary nurses (SVNs), and practice care assistants (PCAs). Beyond clinical duties, you’ll help with daily practice operations, mentor your team members, and foster a positive collaborative culture that encourages colleagues to reach their career goals. The practice treats all small animals including dogs, cats, birds, and small mammals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of RVNs, SVNs, and PCAs, supporting their professional development and career progression
  • Assist with daily practice operations and clinical nursing duties
  • Inspire and maintain a collaborative team culture across the practice
  • Support the delivery of compassionate care to pets and their owners
  • Contribute to the smooth running of a multi-disciplinary team including experienced veterinarians and support staff

Requirements

  • RCVS registration as a Registered Veterinary Nurse
  • Proven nursing experience with strong leadership or mentoring capabilities
  • Commitment to high standards of animal care and client service
  • Ability to inspire and motivate a team in a collaborative environment
