About the Role
This is a genuinely varied mixed animal position at Heartland Veterinary Services, where you'll work across a balanced caseload in one of Scotland's most picturesque regions. With approximately 60% small animal and 40% large animal work, you'll develop broad clinical skills across species while working within a close-knit, experienced team. The role is available on a full-time or part-time basis with flexible working patterns supported where possible, and you'll participate in a manageable 1:5 out-of-hours rota with time off in lieu following weekends—no routine weekend day work outside of OOH commitments.
Based across two sites (Aberfeldy main hub and Pitlochry branch), you'll be surrounded by mountains, rivers, and lochs, with excellent access to Perth, Dundee, Stirling, Glasgow, and Edinburgh. This is mixed practice with real depth: you'll encounter beef cattle, sheep, pigs, deer, poultry, and camelids on the farm side; equine vaccinations, dentistry, and occasional colic cases; and a full small animal caseload including dogs, cats, and rabbits.
