Join an independent 6-vet small animal practice with a four-day week, no routine out-of-hours and a salary of £45,000 to £70,000, depending on experience. You’ll be mainly based at Uckfield, with occasional cover at Heathfield, in a role that offers real clinical freedom and support.
Henley House Veterinary Clinic is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon with some experience in small animal practice to join its close-knit team. The role is based predominantly at the Uckfield clinic, with occasional cover at the Heathfield branch.
This is a varied first-opinion position for someone who enjoys the breadth of general practice and wants the freedom to keep developing their own clinical interests. The team has recently welcomed a new graduate, so there may also be scope to support a less experienced colleague if that is something you enjoy.
The practice is particularly keen to hear from vets with an interest in internal medicine and or diagnostic imaging, although there is support to develop skills in these areas too. Surgical work is also expanding, with TPLO and BOAS procedures now part of the growing offering.
Henley House Veterinary Clinic is a proudly independent small animal practice based in Uckfield, East Sussex, with a second branch in Heathfield. The practice has grown and evolved since Chris took ownership in 2006, while retaining a friendly, personal feel.
The team includes vets, RVNs and support staff, and the clinical team has experience across small animal general practice, emergency care and surgery. Facilities at the Uckfield clinic include two operating theatres, separate cat and dog wards, a full in-house IDEXX laboratory and a spacious staff room, alongside DR and dental radiography, endoscopy, K-Laser therapy and high-quality ultrasound at both sites. The practice has also created space for a future CT scanner.
