1:3 weeks rota, 7 nights on and 14 nights off. Shift 6pm to 8am. Dedicated night vet position.
This is a dedicated night veterinary surgeon position at Hook Norton Veterinary Group, a proudly independent small animal, equine, and farm practice offering 24-hour care. You'll work a highly attractive 1-week-on, 2-weeks-off rota, handling 7 nights on (6pm to 8am) followed by 14 nights off to recharge and live life fully. The role delivers genuine clinical freedom, managing everything from hospitalised inpatients to unexpected overnight emergencies exclusively for the practice's own clients, ensuring manageable caseloads and true continuity of care.
Your shift runs from a 6pm handover through evening consults and ward rounds, settling into night checks before finishing at 8am with a smooth morning handover. You'll work closely with an experienced Night Nurse Team in a calm, supportive environment where your clinical judgement is trusted and valued.
