This fixed-term opportunity is for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon ready to step up into leadership at Sheriffs Highway Vets in Gateshead. For 8 to 9 months, you will balance clinical work with strategic responsibility, helping shape clinical standards, governance, service development and team performance.
After the maternity cover period, the role transitions into a permanent Clinical Lead Veterinary Surgeon position. In that phase, you will continue to support complex case management, lead clinical governance, mentor veterinary colleagues and work alongside the wider leadership team to keep improving outcomes for patients and clients.

The clinical team includes 14 Veterinary Surgeons, supported by experienced nursing and support staff. Facilities include Doppler ultrasound, ECG, digital radiography, dental x-ray, endoscopy, laparoscopy, an orthopaedic surgery suite and an in-house laboratory.
