Alpha Vets is looking for an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the practice on a full-time basis. You'll work across the Risca and Langstone sites, supporting a varied first opinion caseload and contributing to high clinical standards throughout the practice.
This role includes nurse consultations, weight management clinics, cat clinics, inpatient and kennel care, theatre nursing, dispensary work and support for reception. You'll also be part of the surgical caseload, including laparoscopic spays and orthopaedic procedures, with opportunities to work alongside the K-Laser therapy service for rehabilitation and pain management.
The rota is structured at 38 hours per week over 4 days, 8:00am to 6:30pm, with either 8 or 9 Saturdays per year from 8:00am to 12:30pm. There is no out-of-hours requirement.
Alpha Vets has been open since 1996 and has invested in facilities for both patients and the team. The practice operates across Risca and Langstone and provides veterinary care for pets in the Newport and Gwent area.
The practice says it carries out the services expected of an RCVS accredited small animal practice and supports neighbouring practices with referral cases. It also has facilities for visiting specialists in dermatology and ophthalmology. Alpha Vets is owned and run by a vet.
