Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon

About the Role

This is a small animal Veterinary Surgeon role with a salary of up to £75,000 DOE, plus a welcome bonus of up to £10,000 and relocation allowance of up to £8,000. A fully furnished 1 bedroom flat is also available.

You will ideally work across 2 sites, 1066 and Bexhill, although the role can be based at one site if preferred. The working pattern is 4 or 5 days per week, with hours varying from 8:30 am to 7:00 pm, plus a Saturday rota from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, usually 1 in 4 weeks. There is no OOH and no Bank Holidays.

The role sits within inspiring vet care and Sussex Coast Vets, with a collaborative clinical environment and a strong emphasis on supporting individual interests and development. The location also offers coastal living, a long promenade, a historic town centre, local festivals and easy travel links to Brighton, London and Gatwick Airport.

Key Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver high standards of patient and client care across a varied small animal caseload.
• Contribute to the clinical culture of the practice while developing your own skills and interests.
• Share knowledge and experience with colleagues and support those around you in day to day clinical work.
• Provide care across both 1066 and Bexhill sites where required, using the company car provided for travel between sites.

Requirements

• Veterinary degree and RCVS registration, or eligibility to register.
• Experience working in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Proactive approach to learning, with openness to feedback and development.
• Professionalism, reliability and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Passion for delivering excellent patient and client care.
