Veterinary Receptionist

About the Role

Fair City Vets is looking for a friendly, approachable Veterinary Receptionist to join its team in Perth. This is a part-time position working 20 hours per week, with shifts scheduled on a rota between 8am and 7pm.

You'll be at the front of the client experience, helping create a welcoming and professional atmosphere for pets and their owners. The role also supports the smooth running of the practice by keeping communication, appointments and day-to-day coordination moving well.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet clients and their pets with warmth and empathy
• Manage appointments, phone calls and emails efficiently
• Take payments and handle invoices accurately
• Liaise with the clinical team to support smooth day-to-day operations
• Maintain confidentiality and patient records with care and precision
• Help provide a calm and reassuring environment, especially in sensitive situations

Requirements

• A friendly, organised and customer-focused approach
• Excellent communication skills and a professional, welcoming manner
• Experience in a customer-facing role
• Strong attention to detail
• The ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment
• A collaborative attitude and willingness to support colleagues
• A proactive approach, with openness to feedback and learning
