This Veterinary Surgeon role with My Vet, part of inspiring vet care, offers a flexible approach to work, including the option of consulting only or a role that combines consulting and surgical time. The full-time week is 4 days, with one set day off each week and one in eight Saturday mornings.
Consultations are 15 minutes as standard, with longer appointments for more complex cases, blood samples and euthanasia. Protected admin time is built into the day, and out of hours provision is covered by Vets Now from the main hospital site in Clayton Le Dale, supporting continuous inpatient care without patient transfers.
Based across an 11-branch practice in Lancashire, the role sits within a large clinical team and a hospital setting with advanced diagnostic and surgical capabilities.
My Vet is part of inspiring vet care and operates across 11 branches in Lancashire, covering the Fylde Coast to the Rawtenstall Valley. All branches are PSS inspected, and the main hospital in Clayton Le Dale holds Tier 3 Hospital status.
The team includes 17 vets, with certificate holders in Internal Medicine, Surgery, Anaesthesia, Dentistry and Oral Surgery, plus two further vets nearing completion of Dermatology certificates. The main hospital has CT scanning, digital radiography, dental radiography, advanced ultrasound, laparoscopy, endoscopy, bronchoscopy and a full in-house laboratory, with certificate study fully funded and encouraged.
