On-call commitment until 7pm, after which a dedicated out-of-hours provider takes over.
This is a small animal Veterinary Surgeon position at Market Veterinary Centre in Barnstaple, with occasional work at the South Molton branch. The caseload offers a broad mix of consultations and surgery, including routine procedures as well as emergency and critical care.
You’ll be part of a welcoming team in North Devon, with opportunities to learn from colleagues who have interests in exotics, orthopaedics, dentistry and farm animal medicine. The practice also runs fortnightly outreach clinics in Torrington and Lynton, helping extend care across the local community.
Market Veterinary Centre in Barnstaple is part of inspiring vet care, within the IVC Evidensia group. The practice treats dogs, cats and small pets, and also lists farm animals, equine, exotic friendly, rabbit friendly and chicken friendly care among its services.
The practice is equipped with an in-house laboratory, digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, bronchoscopy, dental radiography, therapeutic K-laser and multiparameter anaesthetic monitoring. The team includes 12 vets, 13 RVNs, an experienced client care team and a Practice Director.
