About the Role
This is a senior leadership opportunity with Mearley Veterinary Group, where you will act as Director of Practice and Clinical Services across three sites while staying closely involved in clinical work. Around 75% of the role is clinical, with leadership responsibilities built into the working week.
The rota is full-time at 40 hours per week across 4 or 5 days. You will work 1 in 4 Saturdays from 9am to 1pm and need flexibility to rotate hours between 9am and 7pm. There are no out-of-hours or on-call commitments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide senior clinical leadership across the three practices in Clitheroe, Accrington and Barrowford.
- Set and deliver the clinical vision in line with the inspiring vet care strategy, standards and values.
- Oversee clinical governance, quality improvement and performance across services.
- Work with operational leaders to support patient outcomes, sustainable service delivery and a strong clinical culture.
- Maintain an active clinical caseload while mentoring and supporting colleagues across the group.
- Provide management support across all three sites.
Requirements
- A veterinary degree and registration, or eligibility to register, with the RCVS.
- Strong experience in small animal first opinion practice.
- Confidence in clinical decision-making across medicine and surgery.
- Experience or interest in mentoring and supporting colleagues.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- A collaborative and proactive approach to team working.
