About the Role
Fair City Vets and Crieff Vets are looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to step into a Clinical Lead role across both sister practices. You will split your time 50/50 between the Fair City and Crieff sites, combining clinical work with the chance to shape standards and support the teams around you.
This is a varied first opinion role with clinical leadership at its core. You will help guide clinical direction, support colleagues with complex cases, and contribute to a collaborative approach to patient care across both practices.
The role is based in Perthshire, with the surrounding countryside and access to Perth, Stirling, Glasgow and Edinburgh offering plenty of options for both work and downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide consultations and manage a varied medical and surgical caseload
- Lead clinical standards across both practices in line with RCVS and best-practice guidance
- Oversee clinical governance activity, including audits, protocol development and continuous improvement
- Act as a clinical point of contact for second opinions and complex cases
- Mentor and support veterinary colleagues with CPD and clinical progression
- Support case discussions, clinical decision-making and wider team development
- Identify opportunities to improve clinical processes, patient care and clinical outcomes
- Build strong working relationships with the nursing, reception and support teams
- Work closely with the Practice Managers and wider leadership team on clinical strategy and performance
- Continue to develop your own clinical interests alongside your leadership responsibilities
Requirements
- Experienced Veterinary Surgeon
- Confidence supporting and developing colleagues
- Collaborative approach to working across two practices
- Ability to take ownership of clinical standards and drive positive change
- Previous leadership experience is advantageous, but not essential

About the Practice
Fair City Vets and Crieff Vets are part of inspiring vet care and operate as sister practices. The role sits within a wider veterinary group, with support from experienced veterinary and nursing teams and a strong focus on patient and client care.
The practices offer laparoscopic surgical equipment, digital ultrasonography, IM3 dental radiography, in-house laboratory facilities, digital radiography and laser therapy equipment. They treat dogs, cats and small pets, and are listed as exotic friendly and rabbit friendly.
