Join Walton Lodge Vets as Head Veterinary Nurse, leading a skilled nursing team across a busy small animal practice in Ware. This is a full-time, daytime-only role combining senior clinical leadership with team development. You'll work 40 hours per week across 4 or 5-day weeks, with Saturday shifts limited to 1 in 7 mornings (9am to 2pm). The practice is RCVS-accredited and part of a six-surgery group, giving you access to wider support and learning resources while maintaining strong local identity.
You'll oversee all nursing aspects of the practice, work closely with three veterinary surgeons and develop a team of two RVNs, two student nurses and one veterinary care assistant. The practice is well-equipped with dental x-ray, ultrasound and orthopaedic theatre facilities, allowing you to lead high-standard care and in-house surgical procedures.
Walton Lodge Vets was founded in 2000 and has grown into a trusted veterinary group with six surgeries across Bengeo, Bishop's Stortford, Harlow, Hoddesdon, Stevenage and Ware. Proud to be RCVS-accredited, the practice is committed to consistently high standards of clinical care and operates as part of inspiring vet care, the UK's number one vet care provider trusted with the care of over 2 million animals.
