Registered Veterinary Nurse

About the Role

You'll work as a Registered Veterinary Nurse within South Lincs Vet Group's main hospital and branch network, delivering high-quality clinical nursing care to a diverse caseload. Based in picturesque Lincolnshire countryside between Spalding and Boston, you'll be part of a strong, collaborative team of 50+ nursing staff working across the group's main hospital and four branch locations.

This full-time position runs 42 hours per week on a rota basis, Monday to Friday, with 1 in 5 Saturday shifts and 1 in 15 weekend night shifts. You'll work alongside 17 veterinary surgeons (including certificate holders in Orthopaedics, Soft Tissue Surgery, ECC, and Medicine) in an RCVS-accredited, fully equipped hospital.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide general nursing care for inpatients across first opinion and referral cases
• Support orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery cases, as well as emergency and critical care patients
• Assist with Schedule 3 procedures under veterinary supervision
• Perform radiography and laboratory work, and take consulting shifts
• Operate x-ray and CT scanning equipment and multiparameter monitoring systems
• Contribute to clinical standards development and ongoing patient care improvement within the practice

Requirements

• RCVS registration as a Veterinary Nurse
• Experience working in clinical practice with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing
• Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues
• Good organisational skills and effective workload management
• Proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous improvement
• Team-orientated mindset with commitment to high standards of care
