Join a supportive small animal team where you'll rotate across two well-equipped Kent practices with genuine scope for independent nursing. Strong team culture, clear progression, and a beachside location on your doorstep.
1:4 Saturday rota, 08:00 to 16:00. No night or overnight on-call mentioned.
This full-time Registered Veterinary Nurse position is based across Lady Dane Vets' two locations in Faversham and Whitstable, Kent, working on a rotating pattern. You'll be joining an experienced, stable team (some members have been with the practice since the 1980s) and contributing to high-quality first opinion small animal care in a modern, well-resourced environment.
The Whitstable site sits just a 2-minute walk from the beach and enjoys easy access to the town centre, train station, and wider amenities. Faversham's purpose-built practice is located minutes from the town centre. Both sites are approximately 13 minutes' drive apart. Your schedule works 08:00 to 18:30 across four weekdays, with one day off per week, plus 1:4 Saturday shifts from 08:00 to 16:00.
You'll develop confidence in sole charge nursing responsibilities when the head nurse is based at the alternate site, working within a collaborative, values-led culture centred on care and continuous improvement.
Lady Dane Vets is part of inspiring vet care (IVC Evidensia), the UK's number one vet care provider, trusted with the care of over 2 million animals. The practice combines modern clinical facilities with a genuine commitment to staff wellbeing and development. Both sites feature digital radiography, endoscopy, ultrasound, Doppler imaging, in-house IDEXX laboratories, multiparameter monitors, tonometry, and dental radiography capabilities.
The team is characterised by experienced, loyal staff who share a genuine passion for animal care and are dedicated to delivering the very best service. The practice culture emphasises care, community, and continuous improvement, with clear career pathways and support for professional development at every stage.
