About the Role

Crossroads Veterinary Centre is seeking a dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join its growing team on a full-time or part-time basis. This is a vibrant primary care practice serving the High Wycombe area for over 65 years, operating from a main hospital plus two branch surgeries in Hazlemere and Watlington. You'll work across all three sites, bringing variety to your week and the chance to build relationships across the wider practice community.

The practice is expanding, with a team of 10 vets, eight qualified RVNs, one Student Veterinary Nurse, and two Patient Care Assistants. As a training practice, there's genuine opportunity to mentor new graduates while developing your own clinical expertise and professional passions. The ideal full-time pattern comprises three 8 am to 8 pm shifts and one 8 am to 1:30 pm shift each week, with flexibility available for the right candidate. Saturday cover is on a 1:7 rota, 8 am to 1 pm.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care across theatre, kennels, inpatient care, and nursing consultations
• Work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team to support first opinion cases
• Contribute to clinical standards and support the ongoing development of patient care
• Build positive relationships with clients and colleagues, maintaining strong communication throughout
• Take on clinical coaching responsibilities for student nurses if this interests you

Requirements

• Registered with the RCVS as a Veterinary Nurse
• Experience working in clinical practice with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing
• Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues
• Good organisational skills and effective workload management
• Proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous improvement
• Full UK driving licence (essential, as you'll work across three sites)
