About the Role

Join Blackberry Vets, a recently refurbished small animal practice nestled on the outskirts of Lingfield, as a full-time Registered Veterinary Nurse. This role offers 38 hours per week across a 4 or 5-day working pattern, with Saturday mornings on a 1-in-4 rota. You'll be an integral part of a close-knit clinical team delivering high-quality nursing care to a range of first opinion cases.

The practice environment is fully equipped with a dedicated laboratory, a third consult room, and a dedicated cat waiting area, creating a modern, supportive space where no two days are the same.

Key Responsibilities

• Theatre, surgical and post-operative nursing care
• Inpatient management and monitoring
• Running independent nurse clinics and developing their scope and delivery
• Laboratory work and diagnostics
• Supporting clients at reception to build strong relationships, including telephone support when required
• Contributing to clinical standards and ongoing development of patient care protocols within the practice
• Collaborating with 3 veterinary surgeons and 4 nursing colleagues to deliver excellent care

Requirements

• Current RCVS registration as a Veterinary Nurse
• Experience working in clinical practice with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing
• Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues
• Good organisational skills and ability to manage workload effectively
• Proactive approach to learning, reflection and continuous improvement
• Confidence running nurse clinics independently

Blackberry Vets is part of IVC Evidensia, the UK's number one vet care provider, trusted with the care of over 2 million animals. The practice is recently refurbished and offers a fantastic working environment with modern facilities including a fully equipped laboratory, three consult rooms, and a dedicated cat waiting area.

The team comprises 3 veterinary surgeons, 4 registered veterinary nurses, 2 receptionists and a supportive Practice Manager who also assists on reception.
