Looking for a full-time RVN role where you can split your time across two sites and still keep your weekends mostly under control? This could be a great fit if you want varied nursing work, supportive colleagues and no out-of-hours shifts.
No out-of-hours requirement
Alpha Vets is looking for an enthusiastic, team-focused Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the practice on a full-time basis. You will work across the Risca and Langstone sites, with a mix of first opinion nursing and hands-on clinical work.
This role offers a varied caseload that includes nurse consultations, weight management clinics, cat clinics, inpatient and kennel care, theatre nursing and dispensary duties. You will also support the surgical caseload, including laparoscopic spays and orthopaedic procedures, and work with the K-Laser therapy service to help with rehabilitation and pain management.
The working pattern is 38 hours per week over 4 days, from 8:00am to 6:30pm, with either 8 or 9 Saturdays per year from 8:00am to 12:30pm. There is no out-of-hours requirement.
Alpha Vets has been open since 1996 and has continued to invest in facilities for both patients and the team. The practice is also relocating its Risca branch to a brand-new, purpose-built practice at the end of 2026.
The role sits within inspiring vet care, which describes itself as the UK’s number one vet care provider and says it cares for over 2 million animals. The practice treats rabbits, dogs, cats and small pets, and is marked as rabbit friendly.
