About the Role

This full-time or part-time nursing position offers a varied and rewarding opportunity within a modern, purpose-built veterinary hospital. Opened in 2018, Kingswood Vets in Woking features four consulting rooms, two theatres, dedicated dental and imaging suites, separate dog and cat wards, and advanced equipment including digital dental radiography, multiparameter monitors, syringe drivers, and hot-air warming devices. You'll work daytime hours (either 8:30am to 4:30pm or 10:30am to 7pm) with a straightforward 1:6 Saturday rota (8am to 2pm), allowing genuine work-life balance.

Located in the heart of Woking, you'll benefit from excellent transport links to London, easy access to the M3 and M25, and proximity to beautiful Surrey countryside. The practice sits within a vibrant community with plenty of leisure activities on your doorstep.

You'll join a welcoming clinical team of veterinary surgeons, three experienced RVNs, two student veterinary nurses, and a supportive team led by a Clinical Director who is genuinely passionate about helping colleagues thrive. The practice actively encourages career progression and the pursuit of individual nursing interests, with real opportunities to grow within the practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality inpatient care, including monitoring, medication administration, and patient comfort management
• Assist veterinary surgeons in medical and surgical procedures, maintaining clinical standards throughout
• Conduct nurse consultations and provide first-line triage support alongside vets
• Support branch surgery operations through triage and clinical assistance
• Contribute to the ongoing development of patient care standards and nursing practice within the practice
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and colleagues through excellent communication

Requirements

• Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS
• Experience working in clinical practice with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing
• Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues
• Good organisational skills and ability to manage workload effectively
• A proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous improvement
• Confidence and motivation to work as part of a high-performing team
