About the Role
Join IVC Evidensia as a Roving Veterinary Nurse delivering high-quality nursing care across a designated network of practices in West London and Surrey. This is a full-time, fixed-term contract lasting 12 months, covering locations including Ealing, Twickenham, Windsor, Ascot, Woking, Godalming, and New Malden. Working flexibly across multiple sites means no two days are the same: you'll bring continuity and support during busy periods, staff absences, or increased clinical demand while enjoying the variety of different teams and caseloads.
You'll work 40 hours per week over 4 or 5 days depending on your preference, with no regular weekend or out-of-hours commitments. Occasional weekend or bank holiday cover may be required, with time off in lieu provided. A monthly car allowance of £375 supports your regional travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Admit and discharge patients for routine procedures, delivering outstanding nursing care
- Run nurse clinics and provide evidence-based advice on preventative healthcare, products, and practice policies
- Assist veterinary surgeons with surgical procedures, anaesthetic monitoring, diagnostics, laboratory work, imaging, and inpatient care
- Maintain accurate patient and client records, dispense repeat prescriptions, and support reception duties when required
- Ensure Standard Operating Procedures, Health and Safety regulations, and infection control procedures are followed across all sites
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, equipment care, stock control, and clinical waste disposal
- Support and train Student Veterinary Nurses, and undertake Schedule Three procedures where appropriately trained and registered
- Participate in rota commitments, stock takes, appraisals, and general practice support duties
- Report to the Area Director and collaborate with veterinary surgeons and wider teams to support clinical standards
Requirements
- RCVS registration as a Veterinary Nurse
- Experience working in clinical practice with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues
- Good organisational skills and effective workload management
- Proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous improvement
- Enthusiasm for working flexibly across multiple practices and meeting new teams regularly
- Ability to integrate quickly into different environments and work independently within a supportive structure
