This Senior Emergency and Critical Care role sits within Pride Veterinary Referrals in Derby, where you will help develop and deliver a specialist-led ECC service. You will manage a varied and challenging emergency and critical care caseload while working closely with multidisciplinary referral teams, primary care colleagues and a dedicated out-of-hours service.
The hospital provides 24/7 veterinary care with a dedicated night team, and the ECC service plays an important part in emergency admissions and the care of complex referral cases across multiple disciplines. You will also contribute to mentoring, supervision, knowledge sharing and CPD support for clinicians, nurses and referring practices.
Pride Veterinary Referrals is a multidisciplinary referral hospital in Derby and is part of the Scarsdale Veterinary Group. The hospital provides specialist-led services in anaesthesia and analgesia, diagnostic imaging, internal medicine, soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery, neurology, oncology and ophthalmology, alongside advanced practitioner-led cardiology and rehabilitation services.
The hospital has more than 100 veterinary professionals working collaboratively across services. Facilities include five operating theatres, MRI, CT, radiography, ultrasound and an on-site laboratory. It also works closely with the University of Nottingham in supporting the training and development of future veterinary professionals.
