About the Role
This Veterinary Surgeon role is based at Forest Vets Swansea, where you will join an established small animal team with room to develop both medical and surgical interests. The practice is looking for someone who enjoys taking charge of their own cases and providing excellent care to clients and patients.
The rota is built around flexibility. The role is ideally full-time at 40 hours a week over 4 or 5 days, although fewer hours can be discussed. You will also work one Saturday morning every 8 weeks, from 8.30am to 12.30pm, with no OOH, no Sunday work and no Bank Holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a varied and rewarding small animal caseload.
- Take responsibility for your own cases and deliver high-quality patient and client care.
- Work collaboratively with the wider practice team to support clinical standards.
- Contribute your knowledge and experience to the development of colleagues.
- Build on medical and surgical interests within the caseload available.
Requirements
- A veterinary degree and RCVS registration, or eligibility to register.
- Experience in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases.
- Strong communication skills.
- The ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues.
- A proactive approach to learning, with openness to feedback and development.
- Professionalism, reliability and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
