This is a full-time permanent position offering an excellent opportunity to gain and expand experience in advanced reproductive techniques and foal management within a supportive, highly skilled equine team. You'll be based at Sussex Equine Hospital in Ashington, West Sussex, a beautiful location with easy access to the South Downs, nearby beaches, and excellent train links to Brighton and London.
You'll work collaboratively with the wider practice team, delivering a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding stud caseload. As part of a 26-strong equine veterinary team, you'll have access to board-certified specialists in internal medicine, theriogenology, and surgery, ensuring excellent clinical support and mentorship throughout your role.
Sussex Equine Hospital was founded in 1951 and relocated to its current purpose-built facility in Ashington in July 2017. The practice comprises 26 dedicated equine veterinarians with diverse specialist interests, supported by a large team of nurses, grooms, and office staff. The hospital provides ambulatory equine services throughout East and West Sussex, Surrey, and Hampshire, caring for all equine patients from elite sport and racehorses to children's ponies, and accepts referrals from across the country.
The hospital features two hospital barns, a separate isolation facility, a modern surgical suite, and advanced imaging facilities including CT, MRI, and nuclear medicine, plus an on-site laboratory.
