Veterinary Receptionist

About the Role

You'll be the first point of contact for clients at Crieff Vets, a small animal practice nestled in the charming market town of Crieff on the edge of the Scottish Highlands. This part-time role offers a perfect balance: work Mondays and Tuesdays, 8:30am to 7:00pm, with additional hours available for holiday cover. Within 30 minutes you can reach the mountains, whilst Perth and Stirling are easily accessible, and Edinburgh and Glasgow are just over an hour away.

You'll manage appointments, handle enquiries and support client communications, working closely with a small but dedicated team of vets, nurses and practice staff to create a positive experience at every touchpoint.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet clients and be the professional, welcoming first point of contact
• Manage appointment bookings and client enquiries
• Support client communications and coordinate with clinical and non-clinical colleagues
• Ensure smooth day-to-day running of the practice reception
• Contribute to a positive client and patient journey through attention to detail and teamwork

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills and a professional, welcoming manner
• Experience in a customer-facing role with strong service focus
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a busy environment
• Collaborative approach and willingness to support colleagues
• Friendly, organised and customer-focused attitude with openness to feedback and learning
