Swift Referrals is expanding its internal medicine team and seeking an experienced referral clinician to join their small animal practice in Wetherby, West Yorkshire. This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week, though part-time hours may be considered for the right candidate. You'll be based in a location with easy access to York, Harrogate, Leeds, the Yorkshire Dales, and the North York Moors.
You'll work alongside certificate holders and Diplomates in surgery and internal medicine, jointly managing internal medicine cases referred from practices throughout Northern and central England. You'll also participate in formal and informal clinical training of nursing and junior clinical staff, with encouragement to pursue in-house and external CPD.

The practice also runs a first opinion out-of-hours service for neighbouring practices. The practice benefits from state-of-the-art technology including a purpose-built intensive care unit equipped with point-of-care ultrasonography, oxygen kennels, ICU bays, critical patient cots, and multiparameter monitoring with its own radiography suite. Extensive in-house laboratory facilities include coagulation profiles, blood gases, cortisol, CSF cytospin, and standard blood and urinalysis equipment. Diagnostic equipment includes a 1.5T Siemens MRI scanner, 128-slice GE CT scanner, Doppler ultrasound, and endoscopy.
