This is a full-time Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon role with Straid Vets in Beaconsfield. The practice is open to 4 or 5 day working patterns, with a mix of early and late shifts, plus a 1 in 3 Saturday morning rota and no out-of-hours work. You will work across the Beaconsfield area.
The caseload offers a varied mix of consults and surgery, including cats, dogs, rabbits, small furries and the occasional exotic patient. There is also scope to build on existing certificate skills or develop a special interest, with support from regular team discussions, shared learning and collaboration across Inspiring Vet Care practices and certificate holders.
Straid Vets has been part of the local community for over 100 years and is known for loyal clients, long-standing team members and a supportive atmosphere. The team includes vets, nurses, animal care assistants and receptionists, with RVNs actively involved in nurse consults and procedures.
The practice is well equipped with three consultation rooms, separate cat and dog wards, a prep and dental area with dental X-ray, a fully equipped theatre, ultrasound, a dedicated X-ray room and an in-house lab. There are also comfortable staff areas, a quiet admin office, weekly fruit and snacks, and unlimited tea and coffee.
