Veterinary Surgeon, Small Animal

About the Role

You'll work collaboratively with the clinical team at Glaven Vets, delivering high-quality patient and client care across a varied small animal caseload. The practice welcomes routine medical and surgical cases, plus the occasional rabbit or small furry, and has earned a reputation locally as the go-to practice for wildlife care, treating hedgehogs, deer, and bats. This full-time or part-time role offers flexibility to suit your circumstances.

Based across two well-established sites in the beautiful North Norfolk towns of Holt and Wells-next-the-Sea, you'll work alongside long-standing team members who are genuinely committed to compassionate practice. The practice has modern, thoughtfully designed facilities including separate waiting areas for cats and dogs, a dedicated nurse consult room, three consult rooms, a large prep area that doubles as a second theatre, a fully equipped lab, dispensary, and break room.

• Deliver clinical care across routine medical and surgical cases with growing confidence
• Work collaboratively with the wider practice team to maintain high standards of patient and client care
• Continue developing your clinical skills and interests while sharing knowledge and experience with colleagues
• Contribute positively to the clinical culture of the practice
• Support the ongoing professional development of team members

Requirements

• Veterinary degree with RCVS registration (or eligible to register)
• Experience working in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases
• Strong communication skills and ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues
• Proactive approach to learning, with openness to feedback and development
• Professionalism, reliability, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Passion for delivering excellent patient and client care
