Holly House is seeking an experienced veterinary surgeon to join a thriving small animal practice near Leeds city centre. This full-time role spans 40 hours across 4 days, with a 1 in 6 weekend rota and occasional on-call duties (approximately two nights every 7 to 8 months). You'll work across surgical, medical, and emergency departments, gaining exposure to a broad range of species including dogs, cats, rabbits, reptiles, birds, and small mammals.
The practice operates as a general practice with mid-tier referral capabilities, featuring certificate holder-led departments in surgery, dentistry, and exotics. You'll have access to cutting-edge diagnostic equipment including CT, digital x-ray, ultrasound, laparoscopy, and endoscopy, alongside purpose-built consulting rooms, an isolation ward, spacious prep and theatre suite with multiparameter anaesthetic monitoring and ventilator support. A dedicated emergency service, led by specialist vets and nurses, delivers wraparound care across the hospital, first opinion practices, and dedicated exotics clinic.
