Ready to join a friendly, supportive practice where there's no out-of-hours work and plenty of room to grow? Sprinz & Nash in Thame is looking for a confident vet to bring fresh ideas and help shape the future of a thriving small animal team.
This is a full-time position working 40 hours over four or five days, with the flexibility to discuss part-time arrangements. You'll enjoy a lovely mix of consulting and surgery, with a slight bias toward consults and a dedicated surgery day each week. The best part: there's no out-of-hours work, so your evenings and weekends are genuinely yours to spend with family, friends, or exploring the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside.
Nestled in the charming market town of Thame, this role offers the best of both worlds. You'll have access to a well-equipped main hospital in a converted house that's been thoughtfully adapted into a modern clinical space, plus a recently refurbished branch in Princes Risborough if you prefer a smaller, close-knit environment or sole-charge opportunities.
Sprinz & Nash is part of IVC Evidensia, the UK's number one vet care provider, trusted with the care of over 2 million animals. The main hospital in Thame features a large, airy reception with separate dog and cat waiting areas, three consult rooms (including one dedicated to nurse clinics), a fully equipped prep and theatre suite, dental suite, separate wards for cats, dogs, and isolation cases, dispensary, and in-house lab with Zoetis, biochemistry, and haematology machines. You'll also have access to x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, and endoscopy facilities, plus a welcoming staff room with kitchen and regular treat deliveries.
The team is incredibly proud of its close-knit, welcoming culture and commitment to professional development. The practice is deeply rooted in the community, working closely with local charities including Cats Protection. Whether you choose to base yourself at the main hospital or the refurbished Princes Risborough branch (which even offers on-site living options), you'll be joining a practice that genuinely values work-life balance and supports its people's growth.
