This part-time position offers flexibility and variety in small animal practice. You'll work 8:30am to 6:30pm across two days per week, with Saturday mornings on a manageable 1-in-3 rota. Most importantly, there are no out-of-hours or on-call commitments, allowing you genuine work-life balance.
You'll join a collaborative team of six Veterinary Surgeons, six Registered Veterinary Nurses, two Student Veterinary Nurses, and a dedicated Client Care Team. Working across two purpose-built practices in Sherborne and Yeovil, you'll encounter a diverse small animal caseload including cats, dogs, rabbits and small furries. Your day balances consultations with a strong surgical component: routine procedures alongside orthopaedics, dentistry, splenectomies, and advanced medical and surgical cases. You'll take true ownership of patients from diagnosis through to recovery, developing your skills in a supportive environment.
The practice holds Silver ISFM accreditation for feline-friendly care and benefits from comprehensive modern facilities including digital and dental radiography, ultrasound, laparoscopic equipment, separate cat and dog wards, and dedicated isolation facilities. A visiting orthopaedic specialist provides additional support for complex cases and excellent learning opportunities.
