About the Role
Manor Vets is recruiting a Veterinary Surgeon for its recently refurbished Shirley site, with a caseload split between surgery and medicine. A consult only option can also be considered for the right candidate.
This is a flexible role open to both full time and part time working. A typical full time pattern is 40 hours across 4 days per week, plus the shared Saturday morning rota on a 4:12 basis with time back in lieu. There is no out of hours or on call required.
Key Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver high quality patient and client care.
- Manage a varied caseload across surgery, medicine, and potentially consult only work.
- Contribute to the clinical culture of the practice and share knowledge with colleagues.
- Support the ongoing development of the clinical team.
Requirements
- Veterinary degree and RCVS registration, or eligibility to register.
- Experience in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues.
- A proactive approach to learning and development.
- Professionalism, reliability, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

About the Practice
Manor Vets is part of the Inspiring Vet Care network and comprises six fully functioning practices. Across the sites, the wider team includes 26 vets, 30 RVNs, plus VCAs and SVNs.
The practice has certificate holders in imaging, ophthalmology, surgery, cardiology, imaging, and medicine. The Shirley site is equipped with digital x ray and ultrasound, and laparoscopy is available, with CT at the nearby Halesowen site. The practice treats dogs, cats, small pets, rabbits, chickens, and is listed as exotic friendly.
