About the Role
This is a varied small animal position where you'll enjoy a genuine balance of consultations and surgery, with a caseload spanning routine procedures through to emergency and critical care work. Based at the modern, purpose-built main centre in Crewkerne, you'll have access to excellent equipment including video endoscopy, ECG, multiparameter monitoring, tonometry, digital dental X-ray, and a fully equipped in-house laboratory. The practice also works alongside a visiting specialist to provide advanced orthopaedic procedures.
Working across four sites in the area, you'll need a driving licence for occasional travel between branches. Full-time hours are 40 per week across four days, with a 1:3 Saturday morning rota from 8:30am to 1pm on a sole-charge basis. Part-time applications of 30+ hours per week are welcomed, and there is no out-of-hours work.
You'll be joining a collaborative team of eight vets, supported by 18 RVNs and a dedicated client care team. With a wide range of experience across the practice, there's plenty of support available, and the team actively encourages further development, including certificate study if you'd like to pursue it.
