Join a supportive small animal team across three Northamptonshire surgeries with no out-of-hours requirements and genuine work-life balance. Part-time hours with Saturday mornings only, doing varied first opinion nursing you'll love.
This part-time position combines all aspects of first opinion small animal nursing across Lake View Veterinary Group's Thrapston and Rushden branches. You'll be working 30.88 hours per week on a fixed schedule: Wednesday and Thursday 8:30am-7:00pm at Thrapston, Friday 8:30am-7:00pm at Rushden, plus one Saturday morning per four-week cycle (8:30am-12:00 noon at Thrapston). Crucially, there are no out-of-hours requirements, making this an ideal opportunity for nurses seeking predictable, family-friendly hours without the pressure of overnight on-call rotas.
You'll be joining a caring, experienced team of five veterinary surgeons and eight nurses, supported by dedicated non-clinical colleagues. The practice is well-equipped with colour ultrasound, digital x-ray, full in-house IDEXX laboratory, and gold standard anaesthesia equipment including Humphrey ADE circuits, multiparameter monitors, patient warming, and oxygen generators. This is a 100% small animal group, so you'll work exclusively with dogs, cats, and small pets across a varied first opinion caseload.
