You'll be joining Avonvale Veterinary Centres, a group of seven primary care practices across Warwickshire with over 40 years' experience. This is a full-time position based in Stratford, working alongside a highly skilled nursing team where several colleagues have remarkable longevity. With a 1:13 weekend rota, 1:10 nights rota, and 1:8 Saturday afternoon rota plus Saturday mornings on a 1:7 basis (branch-dependent), you'll have genuine flexibility in choosing between nights or weekends. Weekend and night duties are based at the Warwick hospital location.
You'll benefit from the team's diverse specialist interests in anaesthesia, emergency and client care, and behaviour, creating real opportunities to grow alongside experienced colleagues. The practice prides itself on full nurse utilisation, meaning you'll run consultations and Schedule 3 work alongside hands-on nursing care, delivering genuine job satisfaction. You'll be supported by Patient Care Assistants who work with you to maintain the highest standards of animal care.
The vets hold multiple certificates in surgery, imaging, and medicine, which means you'll be exposed to a wide variety of procedures and advanced nursing techniques, with very few referrals out. You'll need your own transport and be self-motivated, ready to develop your clinical skills in a supportive environment.
