Veterinary Receptionist / Client Care Assistant

About the Role

Village Vet St. Johns Wood is looking for a passionate Client Care Assistant to join their front-of-house team. This is a full-time permanent position working 42 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 8am and 7.30pm, plus one Saturday morning in four. Your role will be the beating heart of the practice, delivering exceptional service to clients and patients alongside the clinical team.

The team operates from Village Vet St. Johns Wood with additional opportunities available at their West Hampstead and Queens Park locations. This is a fast-paced, friendly role where no two days are the same, and your organisational skills and calm demeanour under pressure will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet clients with a professional and friendly manner, setting the tone for their visit
• Manage appointments, diary scheduling, and client liaison with the clinical team
• Handle telephone and email enquiries, responding promptly and professionally
• Process payments for services and products, managing cash and client accounts accurately
• Promote the practice's Healthcare Plan to clients
• Manage stock levels and maintain accurate records
• Perform opening and closing duties for the practice
• Support administrative tasks for the clinical and business teams

Requirements

• Confident, committed, and able to work well under pressure
• Exceptional organisational and time-management skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain a friendly, professional demeanour
• Experience in customer service or reception (not specified as essential, but would be advantageous)
